The aim of this workshop is to provide a forum for continued activity in the area, to allow the interaction between security researchers and professionals and to give attendees the opportunity to network with experts in the field. This workshop is a yearly event blending together tutorials, keynote presentations and ongoing work, focusing on issues related to important properties of systems and business security, however, with an emphasis on practical aspects of security.
The workshop is designed to provide the necessary knowledge to researchers, students and professionals who wish to know more about this exciting field and it’s applications to networking, electronic commerce, etc., or just to get an introduction to some of the fundamental issues in this field. Topics included are not intended to cover all aspects of security, but will concentrate instead on several main themes. This year's topics will focus on Internet security issues and the technologies used to provide secure Internet services.
Who should attend?
Anyone who is concerned with privacy in the information age. In particular, engineers and other technical professionals who design, assess, or implement information security applications in software or hardware; system administrators who need to address security issues in computer networks; software engineers involved in e-commerce projects; managers or technologists who need a solid understanding of data security; students and individuals, and in fact anyone interested in learning about the fascinating and rapidly expanding field of security in data communications.
