The InterMedia Network of Excellence (NoE) consortium invites you to experience the future of multimedia transfer and multi-device interactivity in a two-day event co-organized by Athens Information Technology.
If you are seeking ceaseless access to your specially designed multimedia information from any device and in any location the InterMedia partners may have the answer. In their 'me-centric' world, you literally wear all your data and transfer what you need to whichever device you happen to use.
During four years research, the InterMedia partners have developed a variety of different modules with their focus on the user-centric convergence of multimedia. Their vision is The User as Multimedia Central: the user as the point at which services (multimedia applications) and the means for interacting with them (devices and interfaces) converge. The applications developed during the project can make different aspects of daily life easier with IT technologies.
InterMedia is a Network of Excellence project within EU's Sixth Framework Programme co-funded by the European Commission. It started on October 2006 and will end September 2010.
Demos & Technologies
The demonstrations follow the scenario of the daily life of Chloe, a medical student who works part time is SOS medical doctor service. The technologies and applications demonstrated include:

● Medical data analysis and wearable modules
● Interactions with external display (projector/mobile phone)
● Session Migration of the Secure and Adaptive 3D Contents
● Mobile interaction with smart surfaces
● Contextual bookmark with Ad-hoc social interaction
