George Portokalidis is a very good friend and colleague. He recently moved to Stevens Institute of Technology and he is seeking for new PhDs and a PostDoc -- see the ad below. If you are interested in systems and security, George is an awesome guy to work with (I was very lucky to have him in Columbia during my baby steps).
Applications are invited for several PhD and one postdoctoral position
in Georgios Portokalidis' group in the Computer Science department at
Stevens Institute of Technology. We are working on various aspects of
systems and security, like software security and reliability, kernel
security, data privacy, and security issues on smartphones and the
cloud. The group has strong ties with the Network Security Lab of
Columbia University and AT&T's security research center, as well as the
Computer Systems Section at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.

Applicants should have strong programming skills, a background in
systems and/or security, and excellent communication skills. For more
information on the PhD programme at Stevens, and applying, please visit
http://www.stevens.edu/compsci/graduate/phd, and send me an email with
your CV, and the names and emails of at least 2 references.

Postdoc applicants should also have a good publication record in
relevant areas. The position is for one year, with the possibility of
renewal for one or more additional years. The starting date is
negotiable and salary is competitive. To apply please send me a CV, and
the names and emails of at least 2 references.
