Consequently, a vacancy exists for a Senior Analyst Programmer to be based at the European Commission’s premises in Brussels.

Your key responsibilities:

The duties mainly concern the maintenance and evolution of the existing, as well as future, information systems, and the development of new systems in the required fields. The needs expressed by the users of the system will serve as a working basis. The contract agent will assume and/or assist in the Information unit under the supervision of the personnel of the unit RELEX K9 under the following duties:

- Production and analysis of documents (diagrams UML, use cases);
- Understanding of the logistics architecture and data basis;
- Help in the development and implementation of changes;
- Working also under different projects (Narcisse, e-Del HRM, ImmoGest, etc.) and the SI Corporate (Sysper2, ABAC etc);
- Program testing;
- Documentation techniques;
- Establishment of analysis methods;
- Redaction of manual Your skills:

The work will be based in our premises and the RUP methodology will be used. The output will be tested in our premises and used by the Data Centre of the Commission. The following competences are required:

- Excellent knowledge of the Java for Enterprise (J2EE) program and the framework Spring/Hibernate with at least 2 years of professional experience;
- Very good knowledge of databases, working experience in SQL;
- A practical and theoretical knowledge in UML and RUP;
- The capacity of working independently or in team;
- The capacity of drafting documents both in English and French.
- The capacity of using English as working languages.
