APPS Sales Engineer - Emerging EMEA

This job is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, but it can also be based in Moscow, Warsaw, Prague, Budapest, Athens, Tel-Aviv, Istanbul, Johannesburg or Cairo.

Google Apps provides a unique solution to the needs of customers in emerging markets. Small and large businesses, educational institutions, government agencies, telecoms, Internet service providers (ISPs) and individual users can benefit from using our simple, powerful communication and collaboration tools to cover a majority of their computing needs at a fraction of the cost of conventional products. Google Apps are hosted by Google and currently include private-labeled e-mail, instant messaging, collaborative calendaring tools, word processing and spreadsheet productivity software. They allow organizations to outsource some of their IT infrastructure with no need to install and maintain hardware or software. Google works with a vast array of partners and customers to help them utilize the next generation of applications in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Responsibilities:
Work with the Apps team to engage, understand and assess user requirements
Prepare and present Google applications demos to a wide variety of audiences
Address technical questions and solve users’ issues with Google technology
Engage directly with the customers on both technical and non-technical levels to ensure superior service
Work closely with customers and/or partners and with Google's sales and product teams to ensure successful deployment of Apps

Requirements:
BSc degree in Computer Science or related technical degree
Fluency in English is a must, an Eastern European or Arabic language is a strong plus
Strong experience in technical sales (sales engineering or professional consulting experience is preferred) providing hands-on or virtual technical assistance
Experience designing technical solutions to meet customer requirements
Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills
Strong technical background in Web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, XML, DNS and TCP/IP
Understand technical architecture components (LDAP/ActiveDirectory, SSO, SAML)
